The leading cause of tire failure is under inflation, which is surprising considering it’s completely avoidable! The effects of low tire pressure can be dangerous – tires can lose their grip which can lead to slipping and sliding on wet surfaces. But don’t worry, like we said – you can easily avoid this. We’d like to share our tips that can help you ensure your tire pressure is kept at its optimal level.
First and foremost, you should regularly check that your tire pressure is at the recommended level. This number is either located in your car owner’s manual or on your car door. You should check your tire pressure about once a month, preferably in the morning when the pressure is cool and stabilized. If you ever experience sudden and/or abnormal pressure loss, it may be a result of the valve system, so you should check it for leakage.
